Susan Boyle's I Dreamed A Dream is on course to become the biggest-selling album of the year.
The record, which has already sold a total of 751,571 in the UK, is expected to overtake Kings of Leon's Only By The Night by the end of the week.
Only By The Night is the current top seller of 2009, having shifted 999,960 units. Lady GaGa's The Fame is in second place with sales of 928,005.
I Dreamed A Dream sold 303,708 units last week and a further 70,000 yesterday, meaning that sales could top one million by Sunday.
According to midweek figures, Boyle's LP is selling over twice the number of its nearest rivals GaGa's The Fame Monster and Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D., which both sold 29,000 on Monday.
Elsewhere on the albums chart, 30 Seconds To Mars are expected to debut in the Top 20 with This Is War.
However, new albums from Chris Brown and Timbaland are on course to miss out on reaching the Top 40.
