Katy Perry and Lady Gaga haven't been the friendliest persons in the music industry.

Now the two rivals are facing a battle in the most unexpected and difficult field: the newsstands of America.

Both singers have got the covers of high-profile magazines this week, with Gaga featured on the latest issue of Vanity Fair and Katy Perry on the cover of the newest edition of Rolling Stone.

Lady Gaga dating again ex-boyfriend!

Lady Gaga seems to be back with her ex-boyfriend Luc Carl, after she was caught kissing him in a Texas hotel pool!

The believed to be the 'New Queen of Pop' split with the heavy metal drummer several years ago, but recently revealed she had never loved anyone as much as him.

She dished, "I wouldn't have been as successful without him. I've never really loved anyone like I loved him. Or like I love him. That relationship really shaped me."

People website commented that Miss Gaga and Carl had given their romance another shoot, so the couple was spotted frolicking in a pool on Monday.

The pop singer, who left her bizarre and weird outfits behind and chilled out in a leopard print bikini, jumped on her lover's shoulders and had play fights with pals in the pool before smooching with the musician in the water.

Lady GaGa: 'I believe in visions'

Lady Gaga called Ryan’s radio show Monday to talk about the massive debut of her “Telephone” video and the progress of her world tour.

On developing an artistic vision for “Telephone”:

“I really believe in the power of visuals and sometimes visions come to me and I know I have to do them. It doesn’t really matter if it makes sense or if it doesn’t make sense. By the end of the video, it became so much more as we explored each scene it became about transsexual women and it became about making fun of American hallmarks like soda cans and cigarettes and mayonnaise and bread.”

On what to expect in her next video:

“I dont really know! Actually Perez [Hilton] really wanted it to be a trilogy, and after he saw it he was like, “it has to have three parts” and I wasn’t really sure at the time and then he pushed me over the edge.”

On being competitive with Beyonce:

“We’re not competitive at all, we’re so different, we respect each other so much and she’s so kind and we really get along. She was so courageous in this video. She trusted me because she likes my work she knew that I love her and it’s a mutual respect. It ended up being a masterpiece because she was so courageous, but I’m sure you can imagine it’s a bit daunting sometimes.”

Lady GaGa wants an homosexual relationship!

Lady GaGa has started some rumours about her sexuality by admitting she could fall in love with another woman.

The singer recently shared that she is single and too busy to settle down, despite rumours linking her to ex-boyfriend Matthew Williams.

The pop star has admitted in the past to being attracted to both sexes, and now admits she would maintain a same-sex relationship.

She dished to Now magazine, "Of course (I could fall for a woman). There are no rules or limits when it comes to love."

On the other hand, she admits she will always feel a strong sexual attraction to men: "I see love as separate from sex. And I happen to love male sexuality. Men have something I lack, but that I really value."
