Twilight: New Moon star Taylor Lautner has sparked speculation that he is dating Disney darling Selena Gomez after the teens were spotted enjoying a lunch date — chaperoned by Selena’s mom of course.

Taylor and Selena also reportedly enjoyed dinner together at the Old Spaghetti Factory last week.

Both Taylor and Selena are currently in Toronto working on their films New Moon and Ramona and Beezus, respectively.

Selena, Penn and Emma: New VMA Presenters!

As the annual MTV Video Music Awards approaches, some of this year’s presenters and performers have been announced.

Some of our favorite stars set to present include Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo and Nicki Minaj.

The performers are Kanye West (hopefully he can redeem himself from last year’s microphone stealing incident) along with Florence and the Machine and Drake.

Selena Gomez share how the Disney Channel Series Wizards of Waverly Place will end.

Selena Gomez has built a thriving career on providing a wholesome, classier alternative to the racier teenage fare of the world. But according to some show-business experts, that career could be in danger if the Wizards of Waverly Place star, who turned 18 last week, doesn't sex it up a little.

Hollywood Life assembled a panel of entertainment-industry professionals to discuss Gomez's future career prospects.

Says one feature film and TV producer:

"Holier than thou Selena COULD have a career like Dakota Fanning’s, a sweet-looking girl who lands gritty roles and earns rave reviews for her 'real' performances. However, I think that because she got her start at Disney, and, relatively, a little late in the game, she may wind up being type-cast in exclusively pre-teen films. If she landed the young role that would show her to be a Reese Witherspoon-type, she could break free of cheesy movies, but I think that her squeaky-clean image won’t do anything but keep her doing irrelevant and forgettable films."

One TV casting director concurs, adding:

"This 'cool kid image' Miley and Taylor are projecting is like gas on the popularity fire. I’d hang out with them!"

An unnamed director provides the dissenting view, opining that Gomez's mature attitude projects the stability that will lead to greater career opportunities:

"There is definitely a market for the wholesome young starlet, but more than that it shows that she has a good head on her shoulders and is thus likely to take her work more seriously and understand the importance of not wasting the opportunities she has been given."

Selena talked about her embarrassing scene in Ramona & Beezus where she had to spit lemonade on costar Hutch Dano (Zeke & Luther), "They actually put a raisin as a fly in the lemonade. They said, 'As soon as you drink it, have the raisin in your mouth and spit it out. It was so hard for me! I would sit there and gulp the lemonade and then I accidentally coughed it out my nose. It hurt! There was lemon coming out of my nose and it was so horrible! Joey King laughed so hard that we couldn't even shoot the scene! ..I love Hutch. He's so amazing. It was a big deal because this was my first film and I was nervous, but it was perfect working him!"
