Brittany Murphy's autopsy results and husband Simon Monjack talks about the death!

Today, some new developments about Brittany Murphy have come out.

The autopsy is complete and there were no signs or indications of foul play or criminal behavior. Toxicology and additional tests (neuropathology and histopathology) will also be performed and the results may not be in for another four to six weeks.

Meanwhile, sources have confirmed that Brittany was suffering from flu-like symptoms and was taking several prescription medications. These medicines will be of important focus in the toxicology tests.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office stated to Radar Online, “Autopsy surgeons took a slice of her brain for testing. It will be 5-6 weeks for test results to come through." This testing is referred to as neuropathology. The additional tests to be conducted include histopathology, these relate to studying other organs of the body.

The newest and most significant today is that Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack made his first public statement regarding his wife’s tragic death. Speaking exclusively with Access Hollywood, Simon Monjack stated, “My world was destroyed yesterday.” He also remarked regarding the message stated by Ashton Kutcher, Brittany’s former co-star and ex-boyfriend. Ashton Tweeted yesterday, “2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon. see you on the other side kid.”

Though Simon Monjack didn’t know Ashton Kutcher personally, he responded to the remark and stated to Access Hollywood, “I loved what Ashton wrote on Twitter. It was comforting to me. I couldn’t have said it better.”

Brittany Murphy died due to cardiac arrest!

Rest in peace Brittany Murphy!

She died early Sunday (December 20) morning.

Her unconscious body was discovered in the shower by her mother after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived.

She was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The reports of her death were later confirmed via the Los Angeles County Coroner's office and a spokesperson at the hospital.

Murphy starred in such films as Clueless, 8 Mile, Uptown Girls and Don't Say a Word.

She was 32.

This afternoon we learned that we lost another one of the great people in the world when Brittany Murphy passed away due to cardiac arrest. Brittany Murphy was a friend to many, a wife, a daughter and so much more to others. We watched her in 8 Mile, and Mean Girls, we have seen her grow from from a TV star to a movie star.
